Peoples vote march

Brexit -People's Vote

For our coach travellers:

The first pick up point will be 6:30 am at the Holiday Inn, Chester CH4 9DL. You can park your car for £2 all day, must register number plate at reception (open 24hr).

Second pick up point will be around 7:15 in Nantwich’s coach station CW5 5NF (note the changed pick up point) . So far I have Antje (1 passenger), Amanda G (2 passengers), Peter O (2 passengers) Jenny T (2 passengers) (Kay, Alison)

Expected arrival time in London should be around 10am.  It is safe to leave things in the coach.
From there we will leave the coach and take the Jubilee direct line to Green Park.  From other group’s experience, and with road closures/extra traffic it is faster to use the tube. Payment is only contactless. You need a credit or debit card and make sure you tap it as you go in and again as you leave. One card per person. This is the cheapest and fastest way.   Oyster cards or single tickets can be purchased. From Green Park there are different exits,  a suggestion is to try to regroup by Hyde Park’s Band Stand.

Some common sense things to mention – Wear comfortable shoes, clothing appropriate for the day’s weather (EU colours?), think of & prepare a placard. There are about 13 flags and flagpoles for sale at cost price on the day.  You can bring drinks and snacks.

Make your own way back to Stanmore for 6pm prompt departure.  There is only a very small newsagents at this station but there is a café Nero, fish and chips and a Sainsbury’s 8 minutes walk if you can still manage it.

It would help that we keep an eye for each other, maybe exchange mobiles on the day.

Looking forward to the day,

Teresa

For all marchers

We’d like you to contact your local MP in advance and let them know that you are travelling to the march. Let them know why you are marching for a People’s Vote. This can be done via email, telephone and on social media.

On the day itself, please take plenty of photos and tweet them. Be sure to include your MP in these tweets so that they know that people from their constituency are marching. Photos/tweets should include:

  • A photo of your team at the train station/coach departure point/meeting place before departing for the march
  • A photo on the train/coach on your way to the march
  • Plenty of photos of your groups and banners at the march

For the photos of your journey, please use #PVRoadtrip and include the name of the location you are travelling from. This will help us to build a story around people travelling to the march and to show that this is a nationwide movement.

On the march itself please use #PeoplesVoteMarch. Again, remember to include your MP in your tweet. This way we can promote the message even further and make an even bigger impact.
